HBR parts list by weight

Lilja has some good calculators for barrel weight, if that's helpful.

Thats great, but I dont know what the range of stock weights are.

I am thinking of getting a stock built, and ai would like to know the weight range to ask for.

I have the action weight, scope weight (that I plan to shoot), trigger and guard weight.

But I have room to play with on the stock and barrel. Wondering which one I do first so I can leave the last piece of the puzzle to say , I have this much weight to use.

Gotta keep the stocks at two pounds or less. I can’t remember exactly what mine is, but imagine building a LV and the hunter taper barrel being the savior…..

Wes, with all the 5" of shank length, a HBR contour weight of 4 lbs, 14 oz. is a good guideline. The most common fixed 6X scopes will be from 13.5 oz (Burris HBR) to 18.5 oz (Weaver steel tube T6). Sightron, Leupold and aluminum tube fixed power 6X's will be in the 15 oz range.

Definitely, heck I was able to find a SWFA 6x scope new, it was 21ish ounces and I was able to make the 10 pound weight
