HBN for neck lube

I was searching for more Imperial graphite neck lube, I'm almost out.

I came across Hi-Line Precision brand. They have both graphite and HBN dry neck lube. I HBN all my projectiles and have considered lubing my necks before seating bullets but never tried it.
Anyone tried HBN for neck lube, or tried Hi-Point Precision brand?

Mix the HBN with some acetone, dip the necks and by the time you set it in the loading block it is dry leaving a thin film on the inside of the necks.
Wipe the residue off from the outside of the neck and done.

As long as you seal it tight you can reuse it, otherwise the acetone evaporates and dries out.
If it does that just add more acetone and a little more HBN.

Do you wet tumble or clean the carbon out of your case necks? I keep carbon in my necks.

I season my barrels with HBN and 91% alcohol. I bet I can use alcohol instead of acetone.

I use HBN and 91% alcohol mix in my barrels and HBN dry tumble my bullets. I have not used an HBN ,acetone mix. I would think it would work better. Because it will evaporate faster. It dose seam like my HBN coated bullets seat a touch tighter in clean necks than uncoated bullets.. I will try the acetone HBN mix on the necks on my neck batch and see how that goes. Thanks for the tips.

I only do it after I wet tumble with steel pins.
Alcohol will work just ss well.

Acetone or Denatured alcohol will dry (evaporate) much quicker and more completely than 91% alcohol. JME. WD
I have used all three. 91% alcohol does not evaporate totally unless given time. When I am loading and going straight to the bench, I would not trust using it.

Rather than using a liquid, I use the little beads sold by Redding with their powder/dry neck lube, applying it with a q’tip. Their powder is about the same as Hbn.

I think I have 3 extra canisters of the imperial dry neck lube. If you need them I can send them to you.
