HbN coating in a vibrator type case cleaner ?

It has worked for me in the past. I just needed to use smaller jars/bottles than with the rotary tumbler. I stated that I used smaller jars/bottles, but I could run multiple jars at one time in the vibratory tumbler. I have forgotten exactly, but I believe the time needed was slightly longer for me. The end result is the same. Don't be hesitant to experiment. That is how we learn, hopefully.

How effective is using a vibrator type case cleaner and Wal Mart "BB"'s top coat bullets with HbN ?
Just get you a cleaned out 1lb emty Hogdon powder bottle or peanut butter jar and dump the BB's in... It wouldn't be any less effective than the kits Tubb sales..

Thank you, I had thought about a designated bowl, but with the PB jars * I can do 308 & 224's at the same time.
* got a candy & a PB pie recipe so MT jars won't be a problem ;D

We're in our 6th year now with our process. I'll post a link to our hBN journey, but the ONE thing I never see posted is the importance of heat with this process! There's a myriad of posts on the net about this process, and you'll choose the one you feel is most effective. This is ours.

We have a number of control rifles and one of them is just beyond 1,850 rounds downrange with NO barrel cleaning other than a dry patch run down the barrel after, and just before each range session. We do chamber and throat maintenance periodically.

Other rifles in different calibers are following that same path. I can tell you that every single rifle, pistol and revolver in the SP armoury have slurry sealed bores and only fire ICPs. The very deep impact coating is the key............. that and the barrel prep process.

Since we specialize in Swiss firearms, this process is extremely important to us because barrel replacement is very expensive and in the case of the zfk55, nearly impossible.

The only way you're going to match this is to establish a control rifle and chart every single chronographed round sent downrange with the same established load data.

With hBN, we consider heat very necessary. We use heat in the form of a Halogen body shop lamp, and the projectiles will come out of the jars almost too hot to handle. Placement of the lamp is critical for the well-being of your tumbler. Too close and you'll soften the plastic
I'm trying to get my head around the "heat thing", one think though,peanut butter plastic jars are out, maybe glass canning jars with their rubber gasket lids ?
And What is the issue with ammonia based cleaners? ???

We use white, hard plastic pharmaceutical jars. They take the heat.
All of the jars are sealed between the jar and the lid with electrician's tape. Prevents the hBN from migrating.

Ammonia based cleaners migrate right into any chamber fracturing that is usual, and cannot be neuturalized and/or washed out.

The heat thing. Heat makes metals do..... what?

Sorry,........ I just realized I had not included a shot of our method of projectile impact coating and heating in the winter. 1.5 hours and then turn the containers 180 degrees for another 1.5hrs. Handles 200 .30 caliber projectiles. That one is the Dillon large commercial unit.
