HBN and Melonite

Is anyone currently running HBN (hexagonal boron nitride) with a Melonite treated barrel? Seems like the bullets would just fall through the barrel if you aren't careful. I'm not really interested in the speed, but rather fouling reduction.

Thanks,
Joe

I was going to but then decided the expense of treatment (given the $200 minimum but $60 per barrel plus shipping) didn't warrant it.

I've spoken to John Whidden who shoots treated barrels with moly-coated bullets & he reports no significant difference over untreated bores.

When I started using hBN over moly I found virtually no change so my supposition is that Melonite + hBN ought to be quite compatible.

The degree to which fouling occurs in treated vs. untreated will have to wait for input from others. I still see copper fouling in my barrels shooting hBN-coated bullets but typically it diminishes as I get more rounds thru a new (stainless) barrel.
