"Hawk Hill Barrels" some of the straightest barrel Blanks I handle in my shop

I had the opportunity to chamber a 6BRA this weekend on a Hawk Hill barrel blank .237 bore LV 4 groove and as par for the course Shawn at Hawk hill drills some of the straightest & uniform Blanks in the industries. this is one of many I have done using his blanks and I'm always impressed with the lack of run out on a given blank. they machine well and shoot even better. Last season shooting a 6mm dasher at Deep Creek I had my best 6 & 10 match agg season ever Finishing behind tom mousel and david torgerson respectfully for our season shooting a hawk hill Blank, also falling just 1 point short of a IBS score agg record as well.

It's Great to have more choices in components, especially Barrels ! They are replaced more often than any other part of a rifle,and are a very demanding component ! It's Great to see Hawk Hill & James Leader produceing Quality Barrels" Hats off to both of them.

They are top top shelf. They are meticulous about there quality and craftsmanship. They only do so many a year and that is it, period....

So far I have installed two of them. First rate all the way and Shawn {sic???} is even better. Buy 'em if you can get 'em!!!!

Without taking sides or starting an off-topic discussion, I think we are all extremely fortunate to have the ever-increasing number of great barrel makers to support our sports. It seems to me that many makers have upped their game to encompass improved quality and standards. Those makers who have left the top tier companies to start their own efforts are offering the opportunities to us as shooters for a greater number of choices. It's a terrific period of time to involved in the shooting sports!

Any idea if Hawk Hill is using CNC rifling machines? Or old school P&W?

Last time I talked to him, he said he was converting his machines over to CNC
