Ha, great picture! I had the same problems years ago and when they heard my diesel engine they came in. Stayed one day and they didn't care if I was there and walked right past me and the truck while I worked on my deer stand. Heck I was running a chainsaw and looking at deer through the glass eating corn. I think they liked it over fear...

A few years back, my wife and I were driving through Schreiner Park, near Kerrville, Texas. At one point we saw a half dozen does in a clearing. We stopped to take a photo and they ran up to the car and stuck their noses in the window.
They were beyond tame. Went and bought some apples the next day, cut them up in bite size pieces and returned to the park. Sure enough, here they come trotting over to the car. Put the apples on a plastic picnic plate and they licked it clean. Darnedest deer behavior I ever saw.

When my 4 boys were little,we carried on a family tradition by loading up the Coleman stove,picnic basket and cooler of food.... head to a local St park.We'd cook breakfast up in the mnts. then let m run around doing what little boys were designed to do.Part of the experience were the "tame",park Deer.They all learned to stalk deer from that,something they never forgot.All now are very accomplished woodsmen,hikers... and bow hunters.

No names. Mostly I address them as the damn whiners. They show up about 3:00 pm and hang around the shed until I come around and give them some corn. If I have the shed doors open they will stand in the drive way and look into the shed looking for me.

I do really enjoy them though. I have invested a lot of time, money and effort into establishing extensive food plots for them and the "herd" is growing rapidly. Their trust is repayment.

I have the same situation but with squirrels. After Hurricane Ike, 9 years ago, we rescued about 10. About half didn't have their eyes open yet. It is quite a bit of work, for that many, managing the liquid diet until they decide they want to eat something else.
I have one squirrel still here that was in that bunch. I just turned her loose in the yard and she has never left. She looks for me every day at feeding time.

Very cool,they need to eat too .My old buddy Danny(RIP)...Lived in the Adirondacks,I would spend fall and winter at his cabin mostly hunting and ice fishing. In the dead of winter we would help the deer out,they were never far off,the knew the dinner bell rang at sun up and sun down. They did not leave many kernels,as you can see this little guy was taking it serious.
