New 6.5x47 in the works with a 22” Proof sendero. I want to get all I can out of it, so I thought I’d try some custom bullets instead of Bergers.

I immediately thought JLK, but realized I haven’t heard much about them in a while.

130 JLK and a good dose of RL-16 should make you happy. In my 6.5 Creedmoor load work up gave a good accuracy node at 2950 fps in a 24" barrel. These bullets have a long nose and depending on your chamber may not mag feed and stay close to the lands. They shoot extremely well though in both a 6.5 Creedmoor and a GAP 6.5 4S.

Thank you, Beanland has a .170 no turn reamer, so mag length shouldn’t be a problem.

No experience with the JLK. But the 130 Berger Hunting is great out of my 6.5X47, doing 2980 fps with H4350. Performance on deer has been exceptional. Also holds half MOA out to 910 yds. Far as my property allows me to shoot.

I've had better groups with JLK in my SAUM than the Bergers, and with their recent move it's easier to find JLK's anyway. Scott

i have 4 friends that shoot them and do extremely well. Varget behind them in a 6.5-47. The freebore on their reamer is closer to .145 though. I just picked up 1k from their lot but haven't tried them yet. Im thinking they'll work well for my 260ai and my boys 6.5-47

Glad to hear all the good reports.

I have been shooting the 130 AR hybrid but thought I might shop around since I’ve had to keep my seating depth in check despite the hybrid design.

I just received an order for 1,000 130 JLK’s. Took 12 weeks from when I ordered to when I received.
