Has Anyone shot a 199 with a straight 6mmBR @ 1K

I don't want to post this to brag I am only curious if anyone out there posted higher than a 199-4X with a standard 6mm BR ?

Here are the specifics:

Standard 6mm BR
105 Gn Berger moly VLD @ 2910 fps.
Banard action / Krieger 1-8" straight 1.25" 30" bbl

Shot today / Houston, TX in a switchy 3.5 MOA condition.

BTW the agregate was a 589-17X ...

this is the best my 6mm BR has ever posted at 1k. This is again why I am asking the question of other scores for a standard 6mmBR with a 105-107 at 1000 yards. I have yet to make my 6.5-284 shoot this well and I'm starting to loss my faith in that case/cartridge when there is the little 6mmBR Lapua jewel....

Who knows.... Maybe I'll have to cut my 6.5 barrel back and chamber it for the 6.5x47 Lapua....

Thoughts anyone ??

Sorry about that.. Yes it was an F-Class match using the new target with 5" X-ring and 10" Ten ring. The very last bullet of the 20 shot string was dead center of target but leaked the width of a 6mm bullet up in to the 9 ring !

Seeing as how the current National record is a 199-14X... w/ a 7 RSAUM driving 180 Bergers... I'd say a 199-4X w/ a 6mm BR is nothing to be ashamed of.

I wasn't ashamed of it but it was bitter sweet. The last shot I knew that I pulled the shot. I hand my finger of the trigger, hand just looked at the wind flag and was not quite back in the scope when it broke ! The last shot was dead center but snuck out in the nine ring by a bullet width ! Guess I won't do that again.

DMAC67, I've shot a few 199's in conventional prone competition, not F-class, but have yet to shoot a 200... Sigh... Someday...

You F-class guys have got your work cut out for ya with that new target! :thumb:
