Has anyone rebarreled a Tikka T3 ??? Anybody??

I was just curious if any of you guys have rebarreled a Tikka T3 action and how it shot? I am looking to rebarrel my Tikka T3 22-250 into another 22-250 ackley. Any info would be great!!

You will get responses posting at hunting-oriented forums. T-3 isn't typically a draw for precision target-types.

I've read that removing the bbl from the stainless version is near impossible, more doable with the CM version. That's anecdotal though.

I've got 3 of them: 6.5 x 55; 7mm-08 and just bought a stainless 270 tonight for $200. Dumb kid had spray painted the metal black.

Not a T3, but plenty of 595's have been rebarreled, I think there are pretty much brothers.

If your 22-250 shoots well, just rechamber the barrel you have. Otherwise contact MT Guns (www.mtguns.com) as they specialize in Tikkas and do great work at very reasonable prices with top of the line components.
