Has any one tried one of these

Yes… if you are firing a cartridge where primer pockets go before the necks split, it is much better to find out BEFORE you prime or try to fire with lose pockets.

Also, I used it to check pockets when reaming out primer crimps… to remove just enough material… better than removing too much or crushing primers…

That's ALL of my rifle ammo. I've never had an issue firing loose pockets. After the round is fired, the cup has stretched to stick in the pocket anyway.

The pisser is when the primer falls out before you can chamber the round.

I have both the small and large primer tool . Good tool to have, inexpensive and great to check used brass/range brass.

I have it and well worth it. I just swaged about 1k pieces of brass with Lee app and my case feeder. I have a piece of wood on bench where I drilled a small hole to hole the gauge. I check a piece of brass every 20 or 30

I been using primer pocket gauges for years. Made them in a lathe out of stainless steel. Go and no go, even knurled them. Works great in conjunction with the Dillion 600 Swage tool, when removing military crimp...or that hot load expanded the case head where the "no go"...goes partially , snugly, or a loose fit...it'll tell ya something about your powder charges. Everyone has them..don't they?
