Harry Jones 600 yard GBA match 1

Harry Jones memorial range held its first 600 yard match of the year today. Other than a constant drizzle and dealing with some in and out fog all day, the conditions were about perfect. Many new potential records were set. Come out and join us for the next match! 600 yard-June 26th, 1000 yard June 19th.

There was a lot of great shooters at Harry Jones today and there was a lot of small groups shot with some really nice scores. I’m glad I got to be a part of it.

Thanks Fred, we had a great time, I believe she would be just as happy if we lined up 100 pigeons on the bank and just let her shoot them until she runs out of ammo or birds.

Zack, You now what? I Just started shooting these matches and doing so, You meet so many new people. You try to remember all their names and Faces. Than you go home and get on A.S. and it dawns on you that the person you met earlier are so or so on A.S. Or some one says something about the match on A.S. and You really don't know what their name is other than their A.S. name. It is really nice to put a real name and a Face to an A.S. name. It was a pleasure sitting back and watch You and Kaitlyn shoot together. Cherish everyday!!

You’re 100% correct. I’ve met several people at matches that I’ve communicated with on AS but only knew there AS name. Then you meet them in person and start talking to them and it all comes together.

We had a lot of fun and hopefully we get it to come back for the next match. It’s about 5.5 hour drive for us so it’s a long day

Ha, we both know that’s not happening. I shoot @BartsBullets in everything I can. From my PPC, 30BR or BRX’s. They’re tough to beat.

Yesterday was a great match, full of little groups, high scores and lots of excuses lol.

5 GBA aggregate records was broken

Justin Vance broke the tactical class group and score agg record
Mike McDougle broke the factory class
score agg
Mike Smith broke the LG score agg record
I broke the HG group agg record

Let’s not forget to congratulate everyone on breaking/setting these records. We all (myself included) have a tendency on focusing on small groups but several high scores was shot too and 3 of the records broken was score aggs.

Another great thing about yesterday shooting at Harry Jones memorial range was the family atmosphere. My 12 year old daughter had a great time shooting and everyone was very friendly to her and I don’t think she learned any new words at least she didn’t have any questions on the way home and I have to thank everyone for the respect that was given to her and the other juniors that was there.

We were happy to have you, and look forward to having you back shooting with us! We try to run a family friendly match. That’s one thing I can say about the shooters at HJ is everyone is quick to help everyone. Ken and I sat down after everyone had left and found out there were a few more records broken!

Joe Laskarin set a new factory class single target score record with a 50-2x
Ken Swiger with a new tac single target group record with a 1.216”
Mike McDougal with a factory class 4 target score agg
Mike smith with a LG 4 target score record with a 196 (i think) side note mike shot 3 out of 4 50s!
Zack Donovant with a HG 4 target group agg (he was hammering targets all day!
And myself with a single target score record of 50-2x, tac class 4 target agg for score and a 4 target agg for group

8 new record set on our first 600 match. And for anyone that has shot HJ can assure you that weather gets even better! Many records to be broken this year!
