Harry Jones 1000 yard GBA match 1 & 2 results

Saturday, Harry Jones kicked of their GBA 1000 yard season with Match 1 & 2. Conditions were fair with some fairly gusty winds, but we still managed to see some good great scores and small groups! Congratulations to all the winners! Thanks to everyone who came out! Looking forward to seeing y’all at the next one!

Thanks for posting the results Justin. And congratulations to all the winners I’m sure a good time was had by all.

With two GBA matches scheduled on the same weekend, hundreds of miles apart, it appears to have made the attendance at both more sparse than normal ? According to the GBA schedule, this situation will come up again later in the season. I shot the Cavalier Match yesterday, During My 2 hour drive there, I wasn’t sure if there if there would be a match when I got there or not. Upon arrival, it was still in doubt, but we managed to field 13 shooters. The match director and all who helped did a great job, under difficult circumstances.

We all wondered why this situation occurred, and will occur later in the season ??? At the very least GBA needs to explain this, make it clear, so their members can plan effectively. Heard a member in NC failed to attend because he didn’t think there would be a match.
