Harris Bi-pod on A5

I have a rifle with a McMillan A5 stock. Because the bottom is so flat the Harris Bi-pod I use does not cinch down as tight as I think it should. I was thinking of adding another piece of leather to the bottom of the bipod but figured I would ask what the rest of you use and or is there another bipod that will work better with a flat bottomed forend. Thanks.

Don't get too carried away w/ the sling studs in your McM stock 'cause they'll pull out w/ just a sling attached.

Have a short piece of Internaltional hand rail installed and use one of the many adaptors that are on the market.....

Thats kind of what I was thinking.

I was only putting it on finger tight, but thanks for the warning. I have been running McM stocks for a while and so have several of the guys I hunt with. I have never seen that problem and we don't baby our rifles, but we dont try and abuse them either. Then again none of use has ever had a 15lb coyote rig with an A series stock. The sling studs themselves are detachable and much more robust than just a stud.

I run a Harris on an A-5, and I don't see a problem.

With the tee nuts McMillan puts in for anchors now, I don't see an issue there either.
