This is what it looks like... I've screwed the knob all the way in
I'm figuring each hash mark is 10 grains....

It's volume not grains. Grain size and type Ball, Stick, Flake will all give different weights at the same settings. This is why they go by "clicks". You need to keep track of the settings for each powder you use for each weight you desire and check with a scale to verify.

This will be used with n133 and h322..
I'll set it up tomorrow and throw some charges... I know 29.1 and 29.5 grains is what I loaded in 6ppc last time out

One thing I found to be important in using this type measure is that the more consistent you are with operating the lever to throw each charge, the more consistent the charges will be.

Example - I let the lever ride between two fingers, not gripping it. I try to use the same amount of pressure for each throw and letting it ride between two fingers helps with this because the flexibility of your fingers acts like a shock absorber. I tap it at the top three times to settle the powder in the tumbler, and tap it 3 times at the bottom to make sure all the powder comes out - and I do this consistently for each charge.

54.3 clicks? Take it down to zero and look where the lines are. Your line is just past 50. I just pulled my new one out and played with it. I haven’t used it yet. Not sure about the “.3”. 4 clicks between 4 and 5.

That is 54+4 clicks since your measure has 6 graduations per number.

Get out your scale and make a cheat sheet for yourself. Start out about 52 clicks and throw some charges, taking the time to weigh each one. Come up with an average weight for each setting and record it to give you an idea of where you are at weight wise.

This will also give you a chance to see how consistent your throws are and refine your technique.

The way I read that, same model as mine, is 54 3/4 clicks. I run the powder drop up, weighing each time. When it drops the amount of powder I want on my scale I record the number. When I load for the rifle I turn the dail to the clicks, verify the weight on my scale and have at it.
You need to do this for each rifle and load. Not all powders will meter the same. If you do this for each load/powder/rifle, it will usually give you tolerance when .1gr every time, at least mine does.
One other thing to mention, when changing lots of using different bottles of the same powder, always double check the weight of the powder drop. It will change from bottle to bottle or lot to lot.

I did notice a few times it would clog up and not drop all the powder. I raise the arm let it make a slight tap and then slowly lower it...
I'll go back out in the shop later and throw some more chargs..

Lots of guys don’t tap, but I’ve had my best success with two light taps at the bottom of the throw. Sometimes a few kernels of powder will hang up at the top of the drop tube and the slight tap sets them free.

Thatz what I was seeing was a few more kernel falling if I gave it a tap at the bottom.

I'm noticing that the powder is getting stuck inside the housing after a few throws and very lil comes out then the next throw has more than a case full...
Not sure if its my technique or what
