Harrell's muzzle brakes

The Harrell's radial brake comes with the mounting internal threads finished, but the internal bore is undersized to be bored before mounting. I know they call for .010" clearance, but is that for the entire length of the brake or just the last barrier? I have been boring out most of the interior and leaving the last barrier intact with the required clearance. What have others done?

I bore entire length with a small boring bar after the threads are fitted and in same set up. I bore .020 over diameter, or you can look at that as .010 per side.

They send a disclaimer asking that the bore be opened up.020 over bore size for proper clearance.

I like to bore a chamber out in them. Just a straight hole isnt very effective
