Harrell's Centerfire Tuner Brake - User Reports?

Scary how little info there is online. I found videos from some hacks shooting 1 MOA groups, but otherwise I've not been able to obtain useful information. I'm looking to see who has used one with good success, and then what increments they usually test.

I know the weight on the Harrells Tuner Brake is lighter, and thus probably requires larger adjustments than many other tuners. but I certainly don't want to go to far and get erratic results, so after I work up a charge and seating depth using my usual methods (with the tuner set/fixed all the way reward), I'm thinking I'll shoot 2 shot "groups" every 2 notches (10 notches per rotation) on my 21" HV barrel, and 2 shots ever 3 notches on my 28" HV barrel, and do that for about 2 full rotations and see what I get. Unless experienced Harrells users have other feedback for me?

I have one, but I haven’t played with it much at all. I look forward to seeing how your testing goes.

2 divisions is a very fine adj. not a lot of weight there and its hard to adjust in the first place with the lock ring and all. I made a new ring for mine from a big chunk of brass hex bar and put a set screw with lead shot under it for tension. Works way better than the light factory rings but i have since moved on.

Hmmm. yeah, maybe I'll need to use larger increments with the Harrells. I just want to make sure not to jump through any nodes too quickly and not get a good picture.

Moved on...as in you don't use a Tuner Brake any more, or you don't use the Harrells anymore?

I use a different tuner brake
