Harrell or RAS tuner brake

thoughts on the differences or advantages/disadvantages of the Harrell or the RAS tuner brake?

I know the brake version is not legal for a lot of various competitions, so the non-brake RAS is appealing.

But, with a 284 Shehane, it would be nice to mitigate a little bit of the recoil so 20 shot strings are less beating on the shoulder. although, the 284 Shehane is not too bad in a heavy 19-21 lb gun in any case.

The Harrell's is cheaper and you can lock the adjustment ring. On the RAS it just has an o-ring for friction. Once you have a tuner and you realize how small of an adjustment is needed to effect groups you dont want a ring you can't lock, IMO.
Mike Ezell is making a tuner with a dampening powder inside which is interesting.
