hard to seat primers,really.

pirate ammo

Guaranteed to take the wind out of their sails
For some reason small rifle primers are difficult to find, however I can find all kind of 50 caliber
primers and powder.Just how much seating pressure is it going to take to seat a 50 caliber
primer into a 223 Rem.Might have to cut them in half and you might not need any powder at all.
Just getting bored searching.

Run them through a pointing die it may help them get started

Looking at a 50 cal round here on the bench, it looks there is maybe enough room in a 223 case head to ream out to size. Problem solved.

You know you could try just seating the bullet in the 50cal primer . That way you don’t have to deal with those pesky primer pockets .

A BFH will fix that problem. Tommy Mc

Okay, you made me work at it. Best I can measure the 50 cal primer, still in the pocket, is .30"
223 case head .375
Plenty of room.
Or, modify the bolt face to hold it, a la inline muzzleloader.

Edit: corrected my measurements - shouldn't work on three computers at my age.
