Be thankful if you get to spend Thanksgiving with your family. I think about that every year now that I am with mine, and remember the Thanksgivings I was not at home for. I also think about the ones that are serving abroad today and can't be with their families.

Sitting on the couch with my hound Jack. Relaxing and reminiscing about Thanksgiving‘s past. My parents are both gone now and my family members have dispersed across the country. Still have my son local and will be heading there shortly. Just thinking how fortunate I am to live in such a rich and bountiful country, thank you brave men and women of the military present and past.Even with everything crazy going on we still live in the best nation on earth. I want to recognize another group that are not home with family today. There are a lot of Americans (and many from other countries also) that work on rotational work schedules where they work 14 days on & 14 days off, or 28 on / 28 off, etc. To all rotators that are not home today, Happy Thanksgiving and thank you from those of us who get to be home with our families every year.
