Over the course of a year and many trials and tribulations. I finally got a chance to put this rifle and my load to test on game. Rifle is a Remington 700, on which I did my first betting job with the cheapest Tupperware stock I could find. 7mm mag with Norma brass and 160 grain accubonds shooting an average of 2880 FPS. We've came to the conclusion that the norma brass is showing pressure signs early and slowing me down considerably. But it is what it is. Gun shoots 3/4 MOA All day long.
The buck was taken at 301 yards. He was facing uphill and facing away. Bullet traveled 20 in through bone and meat and came to rest under the hide in his neck. Bullet recovered and weighed 101.5 grains a 63% weight retention.
Just want to say thanks to everyone who helped get me here.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm thankful for this group of dedicated shooters and reloaders.
