I have a Hammerli Trailside .22LR pistol that I purchased about 25 years ago. It is a fine shooter. I would like to find one for my son. Also looking for a few spare magazines for the same pistol.
I know it's a long shot, but worth a try.
Thanks,
Rich

I have an extra Hammerli 208 available, with extra magazine(s) if desired. These are much better guns, much more accurate than the Trailside, but are older. Price with 2 magazines would be around $900 and shipping. Heavier weights and additional magazines available as well. Grip is RH, size large. Can send images to email address after confirmed as legitimate, if desired. However, the gun is old by comparison. The one offered also has a hammer block safety. This feature means that if a different grip is installed, it will need a custom cut for the safety operating bar as the standard 208 grip is for guns without safety, or with the S models with a safety at the rear of the gun..

Also, with the 208 and guns of that series, the magazine must be fitted or at least matched to, and tested for the specific gun.

As to difference in accuracy, in international competitions, the top scores attained with the 208 (not the 208S) have never been equaled or bettered.

I also have a later model, the 215, available which is similar but not quite as accurate. Price would be higher, only due to the current demand and selling prices. The 215 is not a better gun.

The 208 is one of the older models. As a result, it is designed for European .22lr ammunition, and uses a slightly smaller chamber diameter. This gives better accuracy, but some ammunition made to the USA specs will not chamber. CCI generally is ok, but Winchester, for example, or the USA produced Fiocchi can be a problem.

If interested, please send email for images and such. As a "base metal" member, I can't respond to or send PMs for sale purposes on the forum, and prefer not to post pictures on the forum due to the risk and probability of their misuse for scams. Unfortunately, scamming is a multi-directional process. Images posted in forms frequently are used as part of scams, particularly when the form does not mark or "watermark" the image in some way to try and prevent that misuse.

Email is Nikita@alum.MIT.edu

If anyone wishes to purchase those guns but is concerned that this offer is a scam, the above guns can be listed by me in my accounts at Gunbroker or Guns International for purchase through those routes. Price will be higher, reflecting listing and commission costs, however. For images, email of recipient is required for the reasons stated above. Phone calls are a great idea, but ideally preschedule by email. The 208 and 215 also are for sale locally, and until now, were reserved for local sales only. They just seemed potentially useful to a member in this situation. However, the 208 and 215 are both subject to prior sale and available for testing in person or comparison to other guns on site in NH.

Just so everyone knows, Want to buy ads are often scammed. Someone who just joined and has what you want. Be super careful.

Not saying that _J_ is a scammer, but he joined a week ago and this is his first post. Call him, ask for pics. Whatever you need to be sure.
