Hall action models

What are the different models of the Hall action and what makes them different from the other Hall models? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I have the Hall S and M actions. Only difference I can see in the actions are the size. Great actions.

S, M and B. Small, Medium and Big. Don’t remember the diameters off hand. I currently use an M for my 6PPC. It’s a nice action.

I have a Hall on my 6ppc. It says Hall MFG 491 with no letter designation. It has a PPC BF.....Any Idea of what years mine was manufactured?...............Thanks

I can’t answer you on year, but if there is no letter designation it is an “S”. The “M” and “B” actions had the letter designating model. The standards did not have anything on them.

My action only says Hall MFG 491. It is just shy of 5.5" before the shroud, 1.375dia., ppc bolt face. I would love to know what years my action was made.
