Our LGS received at least two shipments last year (that I know of), late spring and late summer, IIRC. The amount they received was underwhelming and it didn't stay on the shelf very long. The amount of H4895 that trickled in was far less than the amount of Varget they received during the same time period. In fairness, I have no idea how much of either powder they actually ordered. H4895 is hard to find even on Gunbroker, where they are probably now charging for it by the kernel. That suggests to me that H4895 is REALLY hard to come by. 8208XBR has occasionally been available and might serve as a suitable replacement for H4895 in some circumstances.

I saw some H4895 in summer of 2021 and snagged it. I saw one pound last fall that was on hold at another LGS, and that’s it. I’ve seen Retumbo once is 3 years now. Now IMR4895, I see it pop up here locally about every 3-6 months and in multiple stores.

I have 16lbs of H4895 I won't use unless I have no choice, I found a suitable replacement that can be purchased fairly regularly at a local shop,

This is interesting.
I’m from Australia and many of the Hodgdon powers , including H4895 ( here it is called ADI 2206H ) are manufactured in Australia sold to Hodgdon and rebranded.
Here although there are shortages of primers etc , I’ve had no problem sourcing 2206H , in fact I just bought 2kg today .
I feel for you guys if you can’t find any because to me it’s a wonder powder that is extremely versatile and actually about the only powder I use for my mix of calibers.
