H4895 for 300mag

With the powder shortage it has been difficult to obtain. I have some extra H4895. Has anyone tried H4895 in the 300 win mag?

Yes,go to Hodgdon reloading data online and you will see what bullets it is good for.

I don't know about the 300 WM, but used it for reduced loads in a 7mm Rem Mag for my wife. 120 NBT @ 2700fps. Shot wonderfully!!

Use it for target loads in a .300WM with Nosler 125BTs, get 1/2" grps, almost no recoil.

I used it with 155 AMax bullets and it shot slightly less than 1/2" in 2 different Sendero rifles. Velocity was about 3000 fps.

For heavy bullets you should try IMR 7828, it is available at powder valley. IMR 7828 is slower than 4831
