H4831SC in .22-250

Anybody have any load data that you are willing to share for the .22-250 with the Hornady 75gr A-Max? I've been using H4350 but I'm about out & can't locate any. I've got a jug of H4831 though..........

Howdy !

Have you considered $$$ some other powder, besides H4831 & H4350 ?

IF you can locate some and can afford to $$$, might I suggest you try some WW760 ( H414 same stuff ).

IMHO:
H4831 is a s-l-o-w burn rate, for this application.

I understand, if you must.... then you must.

80 gr. A-Max with 38.4 gr RL22. Shoots great, I tried Sierra MK shot the same as the A-Max, so why would you pay a bunch more to get the same job done? Oh yea works great on any varmint you put the cross hairs on!

Got this load several years ago, it works great!

I would load the 4831 and try it.

I've been using H4831sc in two 22/250AI's with the 75 & 80gr Amax I do get higher velocity with 4350 but can get the 75 Amax up to 3300 easy with H4831sc in the 22-250AI,
I used the data for the 80gr SMK and standard 22-250 and worked up for my AI this is right from the Sierra book for the 80 SMK

you havn't lived until you use the new RL17 especially in the 22-250AI. picked up 250fps with 42gr and my ww primer pockets are good for 15 reloads.

A couple of different rifles have had excellent results with 75 AMAX's in the 22-250. I have used from 37.5 - 40.0 grs. of H4831SC in the standard 22-250.
