H4350 is a very flexible powder. Think about this, you can use it in everything from the 6 Dasher thru .300WSM and almost everything in between! So the competitive shooters can use it in a wide array of cartridges not to mention all the hunters who use it in their rifles! With such a wide ranging use, it's no wonder there is a shortage! Why?
Personally ive found better accuracy out of other powders in my creedmoor.

What he saidIn 2012 i set three IBS 1000 yd heavy gun Match Agg records. 10 matches 10 shots averaging 5.2 in. groups in temperatures from 32* to 105* with H4350 same load for all 10 matches. H4350 is very stable.
The same will never he said of H414!In 2012 i set three IBS 1000 yd heavy gun Match Agg records. 10 matches 10 shots averaging 5.2 in. groups in temperatures from 32* to 105* with H4350 same load for all 10 matches. H4350 is very stable.
It strikes me that if a powder is accurate in many quality guns, then one is barking up the wrong tree to blame the powder for not achieving accuracy in your own gun.
Myself, I would't ..... To me, it would be telling me that barrel doesn't like it, and would move on with what ever powder is yielding best accuracy potential in that barrel. Same for bullets and primers. What about accuracy? I cant get any out of it.
Do you still use it if its not the most accurate powder?
Ived tried it with every primer bullet ect load and found other powders more accurate
Why?
Personally ive found better accuracy out of other powders in my creedmoor.
