Is anyone using H4350 in your 257 Roberts Improved? I'm looking for some data for when my rifle is finished.

Thanks,
Matt

You might also consider giving RL 16 a try. Said to be more temp. stable and a bit faster with same weight charges. dedogs

Yes what weight bullet?
First I'm going to try 100grn Gamekings. Then maybe the 117s. I might try the 110 Noslers, not sure on that one though. I'm hoping that this barrel will like H4350, as i have about 12 pounds sitting around.

Thank you,
Matt

I went to RL17 on mine. Barlow

RL-17, current .257 Ack. Imp. barrel (PacNor #3 contour, 1:10", 5-groove, 24") & 110 Gr. BT, delivers 3330 FPS, along with excellent precision, and long case life. Though both are good choices, I haven't used H-4350, or H-4831 since the RL-17 was introduced. If you do not have RL-17, you'll enjoy burning out a barrel using up the H-4350: once you're hooked on the 257 Ack. Imp., ten you'll want RL-17!;)RG

Mine is a 9 twist 25" Rock Creek and am getting 3613 from 87gr Hornady sp's and iirc 3270 with the 100gr. I know I can get more, but more is not needed. Barlow
