Been looking to replenish my stock of H4198 for several years. Finally called Hodgdon and was told it has been discontinued due to low volume of sales… I totally disagree with their response but apparently it is time to seek out a substitute.

Well, hodgdon doesn't actually produce powder, so I guess we will have to figure out what the manufacturer labels the powder as.

Problem is, what you have is it for awhile. You might still run out, then what.
Might as well as start working on an alternative, others have and like what they've seen.
Been plenty of posts on other powders that work.
