I run it in my 6mm Competition Match barrels. I found it to carbon up in them. I maintain the issue with a cleaning regiment. My magnums, from short mags to my .300 Lapua didn't carbon up like the 6CM (Competition Match ), the original 6CM.
I'm burning H1000 in a 6.5-284 and it seems like a carbon ring really likes this barrel.
Anyone out there think that H1000 is a powder that creates a carbon ring faster than other
powders?
To me it seems it does it but at no accelerated speed than some other powders. I also shoot it in my .243 with 105 class bullets. I treat this barrel like my Competition Match barrels, the difference is the 6CM barrels are Krieger and my .243 is an X Caliber barrel. The .243 will foul sooner and the ring comes on faster. Soooooo I reckon the brand of barrels may have a little something to do with it.
