Gunwerks actions?

Has any one had any experience with these actions i'm left handed and they are priced right, Thank You Ron

They’re rifles are very nice and the actions they sell are the same ones used in the RevX I believe.

I personally haven’t used one but I played with the rifles quite a bit when they came out and wouldn’t hesitate to build a gun off one of the actions.

They make their own actions and they are nice actions. They have some really nice features like field strippable bolt and Borden bumps. For the price they are very nice actions and come with recoil lug and scope base. I have 3 and my buddy has chambered quite a few more and they shoot great.

I have 2 of them in the safe now for customers. One is going to be a 338 edge and the other is going to be a 6.5/55. They will be starting in the next 2 weeks. Very nice action really smooth they cock really nice. The cocking was the first thing that I noticed. They have 2 cocking ramps instead of just one. Very smooth.

I have one on a 7SS and like it. Very smooth. Doesn’t look like much out of the box but once it’s cerakoted it looks great.

Great action with many nice features for the money. Borden helped them with design of many of their features. If I were looking for a repeater action this is one I would highly recommend. :D:D

Thanks every one, I was thinking about a 6brimp to shoot a long ways what would you build a 6brx 6br, 6dasher?

I know several people that have 6 Dasher and 6 BRX on those actions and love them. I'm doing a Dasher on one, a 6 SST on the other and a 28 Nosler on the LA. Several companies are making Dasher mags if you want a detachable mag and they work great.

Because I am not a gunsmith and have no clue, will a Remage barrel set up work on this action? I see their barrel tenon is proprietary and they provide a drawing for it.

The only issue we've had with them is a large firing pin with very sloppy fit. As much as .005"-.006". Lots of blanking primers with Dasher's and BRX's. Had to send a few off the Greg Tannel. One of my friends that we built a Dasher on called Gunwerks about the poor fit, he has 4 of their actions, and they admitted they knew about the issue but refused to address a fix. A nice action otherwise, but when you add an extra $100 to have Tannel fix them they're not as good of a deal. I have't tried the new Defiance Tennacity but it already has a .060" pin and I would think with their expierence and reputation it would be closer to right.

If you have one be sure and deburr and polish the extractor, they all shave brass really bad and on short cartridges the ejector angle pushes a case on extraction up against the upper bolt seat really hard. You need to give the upper bolt seat a little radius and polish on the edge or it cuts into a case so bad they almost don't want to come out of the action. But they work fine after a little work.

No, they're not the same thread pitch or breach shape.
