Gunsmith recommendation

Looking for a gunsmith to bed a barreled action to a stock and some minor bottom metal stock work. If anybody has any recommendations for a gunsmith in northern Michigan , please let me know. No hurry on the work as I won't be needing it till springtime.

Put some time on the net you can do it your self . Larry
Ya I've done some bedding work and it turned out great but this stock had issues from a previous owner and I'm not quite confident I can get it where I'd like it to be. Just bedding would be easy. Lots of stock material removal was done around the trigger guard area and bottom metal area that I'm not qualified enough to make those repairs(at least not in my opinion) to my satisfaction.

I'm not sure a smith is going to take on a project during hunt season . It's a bad time to need work that may or may not be profitable .
Just something to consider .

Thanks for the help. I really don't need it before springtime. I'll add that to the thread. Thanks

You might contact the gunsmith program at Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. It is one of a few NRA accredited programs in the country. The depth and breath of expertise is outstanding and prices reasonable. They also host some NRA training classes in the summer months.
