That’s interesting, I wasn’t sure if gold box was still being made when the Creedmoor came out.I don't know about .223 Remington but I read Gold Box 6.5 Creedmoor is reported to have .059 flash hole. Better check. .062 is atandard now.

I have never seen a gold lapua box in creedmoorI don't know about .223 Remington but I read Gold Box 6.5 Creedmoor is reported to have .059 flash hole. Better check. .062 is atandard now.
I sure don’t know. Other than it sells fast on hereFill me in what’s difference between the blue and gold box lapua
If I remember correctly and I may not but somewhere around 2010 was the switch at that time some,…. Not all but some of the blue box had thinner necks, I believe the gold box had been .0135 and the new blue box was .0125 other than that they were identical. Also I read somewhere I’m sure it was on here there was a different in the metallurgy of the two different boxes but I have no proof of that. Some say there was no difference at all but I got in the game in 2010 and there was a difference in my brass at that time.Fill me in what’s difference between the blue and gold box lapua
I believe your correct on flash hole size in creedmoor Lapua brass. Hornaday came out with the 6.5 creedmoor in 07 it was 10 years later that Lapua started making it,…. Long after gold box had been replaced with blue box brass. Not trying to start a line of BS about Lapua 6.5CM flash holes. Here's MY notes.
The 6.5mm Creedmoor (6.5×48mm), designated 6.5 Creedmoor by SAAMI, 6,5 Creedmoor by the C.I.P.[4] or 6.5 CM or 6.5 CRDMR for short, is a centerfire rifle cartridge introduced by Hornady in 2007.
[1] SAAMI spec. for rifle cases, large primer, flash-hole = 0.078 - 0.082”. Pistol and rifle cases, small primer, flash-hole = .074 - .078.” Some European CIP (European equivalent to SAAMI) brass has 1.6-1.7mm (.059”) flash holes.
May be wrong or BS but I'm just saying to be cautious and check.
No, it's notTo my knowledge ; Gold Box is "ALL" Large Primer Brass , regardless of the caliber , unless the .223 is different . I don't shoot high speed B.B. Guns
They survived Saturday because nobody in their right mind would pay $180 for 200 pieces of 223 brass. LolLook at these rare birds found at a local gun show on a Sunday at that ! How they survived Saturday I’ll never know. Ended up giving $180 I don’t think I got hurt
