Gun range in Tyler, TX area?

I'm about to move to Tyler ,TX area. Wondering where I can shoot out to 500-600 yards ?

Head toward shrevesport on i20 and go to carthage off the marshall exit to get to the panola co like stated above. Not far at all

If you're in Tyler, take 64 to Henderson then 79 on to Carthage. It's about 72 miles from the Tyler loop to the range gate.

Wow! That's the closest so far? I guess I'm spoiled. I'm 17 miles from a 400 yd range in Bossier Parish. Was hoping there could be something closer. Maybe I can suck up to a landowner and make us a long range.

Simple - Move to Carthage instead of Tyler.

I'm a member of that club in Bossier parish and we shoot there regularly, having said that, we drive to Carthage just as often.

And what a range Panola is. I don't have the luxury of shooting on a pinetree lined range every month. Just wind turbines here in the Panhandle. Looking forward to shooting there again in Sept. I think...I hope I don't melt.

Its not deer season. Find yourself I highline wire right of way and go to town. Most of which can be driven down. Most people will not just walk out on those right of ways I know I wont

I've got a couple cousins in Texas and spent some time there. 72 miles is nothing. We'd drive 200 just to go fishing. Finding a Ranch closer is a good idea, especially if he has a hog problem. Long range moving targets!

The closest is probably going to be South of Stephenville North of Waco. Shoot all NRA competition venues there.
