Gun parts that turn into new guns...

Well it happened again.. I was looking for a trigger for my sako l579. I bought the wrong bix n andy trigger, I got a trigger for a l597/s491/591m....Well I found a factory sako 6ppc for what I think is a good deal. Is this a support group for this kind of behavior? And who can give me info on this usa 6ppc chamber? Can I use alpha brass? Will I need to turn the neck? Anything I should know so I can get some components?

Last year I had some norma 7x57 brass turn into a ruger #1. There are other instances that I'm drawing a blank to.

I Had, a 2 x 7 Burris Scope and a Set of Rings, ( Laying around in the Vault ) so I Bought, a Marlin .30-30 Mod. 30 A,.. aka, a "Whitetail" Rifle,.. to Sit Under, the Scope.

You betcha, this is a support group. You are among friends! You'll find all sorts of encouragement to buy things you didn't know you needed. Enablers all! I have been known to buy rifles and associated materiel just to deal with unused loading components.

Since our state became one of the "no undocumented face to face sales" states, I've cut down on that kind of behavior. It's become just too much cost and hassle to obtain a donor action for the spare trigger guards and butt plates that I've got. jd

My first 243AI started like that. I saw dies and some once fired brass, then the guy mentioned he thought he had the reamer at home. I was already an Ackley guy so it was an easy nudge to get me to buy them.

I purchased 4k of Norma tac22(black box) so I have 6000+ on hand. Trying to add a 22LR bench rest to the herd, so I can shoot up the ammo. Could be more cart before the horse activity.

I had a Ruger #1 in 220 Weatherby rocket that was shot out bad. Then one day in a group buy I ended up with some 6x47(222 rem. mag) dies and low and behold a bartlien 6mm take off barrel arrived. I already had around 800+ rounds of nos 222 mag brass. Guess what my number 1 is now!

I shoot, mostly Tikka's Now, with just a Cheap aszz, Trigger,.. Spring !

Once or twice, or maybe a few more times...

Glad I’m not the only one. Some prizes become VERY expensive.

If I were smart, l’d stick the prize parts in the safe until I had enough to build most of the next rifle and then only buy a couple parts. Oh well.
