Gun Broker.com Problem

I bought a scope off of gunbroker. Seller asked for a USPS money order for payment. I sent the payment as a USPS Money Order, along with a tracking # to see that payment got there.

I never recieved the item... the seller is not responding to my emails, phone calls, etc.

What can be done? I believe I got ripped off.

Alot of money down the drain there.
 
Did you contact gunbroker? They must have a dispute settlement deal or something.Next con tact your local postal inspector as this becomes postal fraud punishable with up to 20 years in prison and rigid fines.Believe me if the usps gets involved they will respond.Go to the official white pages and look it up to see if the address exists.Dont give up as your state attorney general office will do something for you.I hope this gives you a solution.
 
Gunbroker didn't get back to me yet. It says his address is good on white pages

ive been to bogard mo. pop of at least 50 people and not shure they even have a post office. sorry -- this isnt much help.

Been down this road. Contact Post Master where you purchased the MO, give the PM your copy of the MO receipt. They can easily tell if the MO was cashed or deposited in bank. If it has file a claim with the PM and they will turn it over to the Postal Inspector. Postal Inspectors are way more hard core than the IRS. It may take 30 days or more but you will get your cash back or the item you ordered!
 
Thanks alot. That sure does make me feel better about this situation.

I am happy I got the delievery confirmation, instead of just mailing it in an envelope, I sent it in a parcel container so I could have the confirmation.
 
I believe that you have to wait 30 days to file a dispute/fraud claim with them.

I have had two bad experiences on GB with a vendor and they are of NO help.

Remember that it is the seller who pays the fee and as long as GB gets paid they do not care.
 
The seller finally got back to me after I started bringing on some heat from my end...

Says it will ship Monday.

Thanks to all who have helped... I will keep you all updated if the scope arrives next week.
