how do you measure your group size?which way is the right way outside to outside or center to center then minus the diameter of bullet? ???

You can either measure the outside maximum distance and then subtract the diameter of the bullet, or measure from center to center of the furthest holes.
The result should be the same, within the limitations of your ability to measure it.
