Groundhog shoot Newbremen NY. 7/27

We had a good turnout for just our 2nd shoot and our first groundhog at 4 distances. Everyone had a good time and we made some new friends. That is the best part for me.
thanks for asking.

What is the level of competition, and equipment used ? I have a buddy that just started shooting short range BR and he was thinking of driving down to give it a try . He has never shot past 200 yds and was a little worried that everyone would be as good as Dennis Van Tassel .

Dennis is a active member in our club and a great guy. He wasn't there he had to work. The typical rig is a baldeagle front rest with a rear bag. Some shoot rem actions with a custom barrel. 6ppc 6 br, 30 06 etc. Our rules are loose. Most have good scopes [ sightron, NF or Lup ]. As far as being embarrassed I shoot midpack and have fun, fun is what it's all about. Tell him to come on down.
thanks

if it's a benchrest rifle it is open class, anything goes. Hunter is 10.5 lb max
