Ground Blind Recommendation

Looking to purchase a new ground blind and looking for recommendations. I’m 74 and still routinely use a ladder stand however at some point will be a ground sitter. I’m currently deer hunting with my 13 year old grandson using both ladder stand and ground blind (in the ground blind now). I have an old Ameristep and it has rips in it plus there is no room to hardly operate. Am looking for an easy setup/take down plus room for 2 adults plus firearms and packs.

Have looked online however not helpful and would appreciate personal experience type recommendations.

Thanks so much!!

I hunted with a few types this year. Anything with triangle/corner windows I found to be impossible to see out of if two people are in it.

Got one with rectangle
Windows and I was very happy. The primos double bull is a really high quality one.

I'm 73 and still prefer hang-on stands. I also set up a ground blind for crappy weather. I have used Ameristep pop-up type blinds. Didn't like the lack of view from them. This year I picked up a Barronett Ox-4 Backwoods Camo. It's a hub style blind. Easy set-up/takedown. Very heavy duty. The see thru window runs vertical 180° across the front. You can see about 270° and there are 2 peak windows for looking behind. You can see out the deer can't see in. I shot a buck from it this year. Used a crossbow and shot thru the mesh. Arrow flight was not affected. If you don't use giant chairs, it will fit two hunters. This year it's been shitty weather all season, so far. I have spent a lot of time in the blind and really like it. If you want to put in easy chairs, look into the Ox-5, lots more room. Here's a pic from the blind: IMG_20221115_143150.jpg

I have an old Ameristep also. 1 person is enough. I also have a "Hub" style (Rhino 600) blind that's supposed to hold 3 people,2 will fit fairly well.

Check out the Barronett line of blinds. I have one and love it! They are roomy and very easy to set up.
I hope this helps,

Lloyd

Xenek ground blinds are some of the very best out there

A few years ago I built a trailer for deer hunting. A few days after I parked it, the deer paid no attention to it. The porch had window screen on the railing. A couple of old office chairs just let your head see over the railing. Very comfy. The room had propane heat, a porta potty, and 2 recliners. Spend the night and be hunting at dawn without spooking them on the way to a blind. Total cost was less than 5000. Sold it at auction when I sold that farm and got 6000.

Thanks for all the comments! Was on Rural Kings website and noticed they had a Rino 180 on sale, close to $90 off regular price. Has some nice features, anyone have experience with this blind?

Thanks

You did not say if you where going to pack it in on your back or driving it to hunting spot with a machine.
Definitely something to consider my 2 man I have (don’t remember brand)
Big nice fairly dry.
Also waaaaaay tooooo heavy.

Make sure it is taller than you are, my pop up I can't stand straight in. Makes stretching hard. Some camo patterns are easier to blend in using vegetation or field leftovers. There are also 5 sided(larger inside) and insulated blinds. I have seen the Rhino on ebay, bid a couple times but haven't won one.

Here's a live pic of OX-4 set-up in rifle mode. Edit to add there is plenty of room for 2 hunters. IMG_20221122_151050.jpg Better view out windows: IMG_20221123_144934.jpg
