Griffin Armament Checkmate- HD Suppressor

Anyone have any experience with the Griffin Armament Check Mate-HD .22 suppressor?
What do you like? What don’t you like. As good as the Dead Air Mask?

Thanks

I have a Rugged Oculus and a Thunderbeast Takedown 22. I like them both. I don't use the ability to configure the Oculus and I had to make a tool to align the baffles when I reassemble after cleaning. The Thunderbeast is easy to take down and reassemble for cleaning and I like it more because of this.

I read about the Checkmate HD and the only thing that would seem to present a problem to me are the silicone rings they use to seal the outside from the inside. If you got some spares and had them sitting around that's no big deal. In the Griffin Checkmate video, I saw the guy take the suppressor apart and it seemed the o-ring was broken.

I like the customer service provided by Thunderbeast. I emailed to ask about bead blasting for cleaning and I had a quick response from them. You might consider the Silencerco Switchback. You can turn all the baffles in the same direction to quiet high velocity rounds or you can turn half 180˚ to further silence standard velocity rounds. I think they are the quietest suppressor around in that configuration.

I personally don't see the fanaticism over the Mask. They are all pretty similar in sound suppression, so what really counts is your personal preference for tone and first round pop. I prefer the Thunderbeast over my Oculus due to tone. Both have little to no first round pop.
