Greenlaw Front Rest

Im just getting into BR shooting and in the process of having a 6BR smithed by Mike Davis. I have pretty much everything to get me started except a rest. I have been looking for a couple months now and would love a SEB or Farley but my budget will not allow it right now. I have come across the Greenlaw rest and for the price it looks very promissing. Any thoughts, this is in the top end of my budget right now so if its good to go I will probably order one in the next week or so. Thanks for the input.

In looking over the website, there is one thing that I would change on his designs. I like the bag strap hold down bars like Sinclair uses. My Hoehn tops also use this design, which having used others, seems to me to be the best way to secure a bag.

I just got a greenlaw front rest top. It is one of his adjustable bag wind tops. So far I think it is very well made top. And he is a very nice guy to deal with.

Taking your budget and price range into consideration, here's a nice rest with a Windage top priced in that should serve you well until you can move up: http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/pid=38376/Product/Sinclair_Generation_II_Benchrest_Windage_Rest

After three years, I moved up to the the JJ Industries Ultra about a year ago.

I'd use this front bag if it fits your forend: http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/pid=39557/Product/Edgewood_Front_Benchrest_Bags

I have one of his new adjustable tops and just ordered a base today. It is a very well made top and Dan is a real good guy to deal with. I don't see how you could go wrong with one.

Just received my front rest from Dan --had him customize my base a little and am very pleased w/ the craftsmanship and done in a timely manner as well.

He kept me informed on the progress and was nice to work with. Rock solid product--Thanks Dan Greenlaw
