Green Mtn. Barrel Blanks

Has anyone used a Green Mtn. Blank on a build??
How do the shoot??

What about an ER Shaw--Savage barrel?? How do they do??

I understand both are not lapped-- do the foul worse than someting like a Shilen??

my buddy used one for his 6.5 sweede build. The smith hand lapped it so there were no fouling problems.
the thing shoots like a dream. As for longevity time will tell.

After about a 19 week wait, Shaw shipped my 6.5 Swede Savage replacement chromemoly barrel last week and I installed it in time to shoot this last weekend. Fired around 30 rounds thru new barrel, doing a slow breakend.....shot a few rounds, cleaned bore, fired again, cleaned again and etc. Jury still out on how accurate the rifle will be with Shaw barrel, but shows promise. As to copper fouling, well, most of the time I just used a nylon bore brush to clean bore and then ran some patches thru bore. Did not experience any copper fouling that would concern me.
