GREAT SCOTT TRIGGERS

Blanked a primer and got another Jewel trigger, about the fourth one over the years . Switched primers and it was too soft. Sent it to Jewel, waited for a couple of weeks and called them, they said they had it and would get to it soon as they could, been a month and no word. Got to thinking about trying something new, got hold of Larry and ordered a new Trigger Tech. That was last Wednesday got the trigger this morning! No idea how many Jewels I have bought from Larry over the years and the same service as usual, you just can't beat him. I think Jewel needs to take lessons from Larry....

Larry is as good as they get when it comes to taking care of his customers. What model of Trigger Tech did you get?? WD

I got the special, it's for a rifle I had built to deer hunt with. Built it in a 6 Creed with an 8twist Lederer was just getting started on development when the trigger went. Sent the bolt to Carlsbad and the trigger to Jewel. As usual Jerry had the bolt back to me in a few days and got tired of waiting on Jewel, got several spares but none have a bolt release and safety. After reading a discussion on here about triggers I decided to try a tech.... John

Saw several threads here about a blown primer talking out the trigger. How exactly does that happen? Is it a certain brand of action and trigger that breaks?

Not sure exactly, Jewel trigger is the only one that I have had it happen to. As far as actions, Remington, Panda, Pierce, and probably more that I don't remember over the years...

Trigger Tech warns of problems with 'pressure events'. When talking with their tech, it included gases leaking pass primers.
