Great F-Class Video!!! Thanks Mr. Shiraz!

Keeping this link/vid in the spotlight. Again, big thanks to Shiraz and Co for taking the time to make this.

Look forwards to the sequel!! ;)

Shiraz, I feel terrible that you are being teased about the color of that rest. We should focus on the quality of the film and not something that a can of black spray paint can fix.

I agree. Shiraz, I'll provide the black paint! ;D

Hahahahaha - you guys are relentless! Like they say, no good deed should go unpunished :)

We only tease you because we love you. You are one of our strongest pillars in fclass. Would love to be behind the gun with you in a film while you shoot. A decision making narrated would be educational.

Well, even tho I don't care for the pink color (or whatever you call it) It is still a nice rest and that's what matters. Personally, I would spend 10 bucks for some black spray paint. Not every rest can have as much brass as mine or we would not have enough for shells. I don't think you used that one in Arizona did you? I would have noticed. Last time I saw that was in Lodi? If you don't have time you could send it back to Bob P. for a refit. If your daughter (or wife) ever takes up shooting, let her use it. You coming to Lodi this month?

Bob

It's not pink. It's purple. And this explains why Shiraz shoots so flawlessly in the video. According to one internet "colorologist":

Purple is the color of good judgment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good color to use in meditation.

Throughout history, purple robes were worn by royalty and people of authority or high rank. Purple togas were worn by Roman emperors.

Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Being the combination of red and blue, the warmest and coolest colors, purple is believed to be the ideal color. Most children love the color purple. Purple is the color most favored by artists.

There you have it. Purple = Magic.

I thought it was due to the stache for wind reading...guess I'll shave for the Nats now...no wait, maybe I'll die it purple... :D

Joking aside - excellent video

Sebold - not coming to Lodi. Going to Rocky Mountain Palma (Raton) in early July.

Telling me to stop using that rest would be equal to me telling you to stop smoking those cheap cigars ;D

Blah Blah Blah, still looks pink to me. I don't want you to stop shooting the rest, cuz I know they work. I am just glad you are so secure in your masculinity! FYI these are NOT cheap cigars. Cheap beer yes but not the cigars. Life is to short to smoke cheap cigars, or own bad shooting rifles. Good luck at rocky mountain. I wanted to go but must work to afford cigars.

Shiraz again, great video.

As a coach and shooter, I have experienced days when the mirage is not very kind and the white lines are either very wavy or non existent.

In regards to wind calls of 1 right etc, do you wind the turrets on those days when the shooter can't get good pictures. Or do you have some magic potion for getting clear pictures all the time? Please share.

Regards,

Mike.

Mike - There is no magic portion for getting clear lines in sight all the time.

Generally the first lines to disappear in nasty mirage are the X ring and often the 10 ring. If the wind is moving then the coach will put some windage and then ask the shooter to hold off approximately the value of the lines. Many times we have to "quarter" the target and approximate the line value. If the shooter just cannot manage that, then the coach will turn the windage knobs.
