Boggs, what bullets does your 327 like?I have one with 4" barrel. It is not a pussycat with 1500 fps loads. The .32 loads have no recoil and are very accurate
I definately want a gp100!The SP 101 is perfectly proportioned for a 6-shot .327 Fed. Is one extra shot really worth the bulkier dimensions and weight with a GP 100? Guess it’s up to you.

Ya I was looking at that lapua 32 long brass thinking about picking some up.327 Factory load Fed 100gr sp
.32 s&w long factory 98 gr wc several brands
115 gr rim rock 115 gr rnfp with AA9
.32. SW long with wc is very accurate and no recoil.
The Federal factory 100gr sp is very fast, over 1500fps. The 85 gr Fed factory is not very accurate
The Rim Rock 115s are accurate and fast 1500+ with a full load of AA9
Thats even faster than my 38 Super Comp....smokin litle round.
You can load the lead 115s 1500+ with no trouble. I would not hesitate to shoot a deer as long as he was close and I could get good placement.98 gr wc for the .32 long if you want to load them. There are factory target loads but hard to find now.
I put a very light crimp on them. Very accurate and no recoil.
HELL YES! if you care about performance and accuracy! And that is not possible in an SP101!! You need a serious handgun to understand what a 327 can be and truly is!! Like I say below, it is far from an ideal SD weapon in my opinion, as I have much better options in that size revolver with other calibers, as well as lighter packages!!The SP 101 is perfectly proportioned for a 6-shot .327 Fed. No doubt the anemic S&W frames would suffer from real life use the GP-100 thrives on! It ius Magnum Pistol Powder, from Military surplus but uses h110 and 296 load dats according to the label that was on the drum it came out of. The biggest problem with this 327 caliber was many anemic frames used when it first came out that resulted in little to no useful load data, and lack of useable bullets for real revolvers capable of capturing and using its available power.1500+ with a 140 in the 327, stepping on it pretty hard. Would make a SW rattle fairly quick.
I would be interested in what powder your using to get that speed.
I have Buckeye 32 mag/32-20. Hardly use the 32 mag cylinder. The 32-20 sees most of the use. I have a custom mold that drops at 145-147, depending on alloy, plain base to boot. I use AA9 and lilgun and H110. I see speeds of 1500+, have never cracked 1600.
My 327’s are in Single Sevens. I found it to do not much more than a 30 carbine would do. The GP having a longer cylinder, makes more usable case capacity.
