Gouging

No "Freedom" here. We go to the Tall tales shop in russell pa. 90 miles.. Also Grice in clearfield pa. 150 miles. When my sons and I go we come home with a pickup load. No LR primers anywhere.
Tall tails had good prices up to a week ago when even they jumped on the powder gouging bandwagon and raised their prices 8-10 dollars a pound. friends were there last weekend and couldn't believe the price increases on reloading supplies.

My local shop which I have dealt with for over 40 years now never "gouged" its customers, even during the worst of times of the pandemic and radical political change panic buying.

I give them all my business whenever possible. The current prices are what there are and to stay in business the shop has to charge for a certain margin to make a reasonable profit.

I am at the end of my shooting career so I kind of take everything in stride, but I feel bad for the future of the sport, especially for new shooters entering the sport. We need more new shooters entering the sport to keep the 2nd Amendment healthy because politicians understand only one thing, the vote. But the future looks bleak.

Deputy sheriff (son-in-law) got rejected when he wanted to buy a couple boxes of '06 ammo. Gave no reason why. Iraq combat vet. USMC Been a deputy for 11 years. Super nice clean-cut guy. He went to tall tales and bought a case for $500. He reloads his own .44 mags. So W396 was on their shelf also. $49 @ lb. This state looses a lot of tax money because of her BS new law. IMR 4064/3031 hard to find anywhere!!

I left WNY in 2002, have not looked back, amazing how you can't even buy a box of shells and shoot clays anymore w/o some non-sense approve from the state.

Just wonder if the libs had some back room secret meetings with component manufacturers promising mil contracts if they raised the price on consumer products. The back door “kill the 2A” approach.

And the shooter that buys stuff for $10.00 and turns around and sells it to YOU for $50.00, is NOT YOUR FRIEND!! And don't let him try tell you any different!!

A few years back, when Lapua 6BR brass was REAL HARD to get, I got on the back order lists. When it broke free, I had brass coming out of my ears.
Sold a box shipped for about $2.00 more than I had in it.
I was happy and so were the folks that couldn't get any.
You gouge folks, watch out for the Karma train.
