My son just shot his first ever F class match at Lodi today. First match of any kind. I was hoping he wouldn't come in last. He only had a 6.5 x 47 and I told him I was not going to coach him. So I didn't expect him to win 800 yards, but he did. He had a little train wreck at 900, so I gave him some advice. He came back and won 1000 yrds. Ended up second overall. Not bad for an 11 year old.

No, I guess there isn't anything wrong with a 6.5 X 47. Ben just points it better than I ever could! I read something in a ballistics table about... You know they never tell you how to steer the bullets. Maybe I should put those away for a while. I don't want to confuse the boy.

Ben looked like he was tickled pink after the 800 yard line. Totally different look on his face after 900 but after I had a talk with him I realized the skinny little sliver of a Sebold was just hungry and waiting for Mom to bring McDonald's. I think he would have won 900 also and overall had Mom showed up before the 900. Will shoot for food! I wonder Bob, did you tell Ben that he couldn't get food until he whoops everyone's azz? Lol idk if he told you before I left what he did to me. The lil runt. I have fun with the lil dork. Great Shooting Ben! Hope to see you at more matches in the near future. Keep it up and you'll follow in your dads footsteps, which is a great accomplishment in itself. You've got the BEST coach you could ask for in your dad.
