Good use for Creed brass.

........besides loading Creed ammo.

I found myself short about 15 pcs. of .22-250 brass to complete a 100 pc. box. I remembered the Hornady 6mm Creedmoor range brass I picked up last month. Why not try it. I ran it into my Redding FL die using the Ultramag press. Came out nice....just .04 too long and an easy trim to make the cases I needed. :) That was a tough squeeze but an easy job with the Ultramag.

Getting ready to do up some 250/3000 from stocks of Creedmoor brass.
I'm no longer fooling with the Creed boring, but the brass always has potential
for something else.

Just saw your post & thought "Son of a ---!"
I still have that die sitting downstairs on my reloading bench all boxed up & ready to ship to you. Completely forgot about it!
At this point i'll just hand it to you at next weekends match.
Still waiting on my barrel.
And some other parts.

Do you mean in a single feed bolt gun, where you can set the bullet out to the lands?
Or are you hindering those by only loading so they fit in an AR type magazine?

I hadn't messed with any Creed until I started my new job developing loads for customer rifles. The 22 Creed is exceptionally easy to tune and shoots just like a 22-250. So I looked at the cases side-by-side and they are very similar. I still done see any need for the Creeds, popularity notwithstanding. Nothing wrong with them but they are nothing new......

Nothing wrong with the Creeds, if you want one. Same could be said for the 22-250, if you just stuck with the original 250-3000 and a lite bullet.
All in the eyes of the beholder and those of us that like to play with wildcats, that often turn into commercial round, like the 22-250 did.. Just saying.

6mm Creedmoor is the one round that has a consistent variety of factory ammo available around here.
