Good Eye Protection

Where can I get a good set of safety glasses? For shooting, shop work, weed trimming, etc.

I'm tired of spending 20-30-40 dollars for a pair of "quality" glasses to find out they've got crappy wavy lenses in them.

I am very sensitive to "wavy" lenses, get really bad dizziness. Due to this, I use only Oakley and ESS, they have never caused me to get dizzy.

Neither are cheap, but worth every penny imo.

Weedeating.....hummm

I wear a face shield

I have been to the eye dr to get debris out of my eye....

I have a set of Smith bicycle racing safety glasses. They are a wrap around style safety lens and frame, but do not distort peripheral vision. Good for all around use. I think I paid about $100 bucks them.
I have a pair of Decot Hy-wyds. They’re ok, cost a bit more, and I’d only wear them for shooting.
I also have a set of Randolph Rangers for clay shooting. I like these best for shooting.

For stupid questions, any old paid will do.

Not too long ago I stumbled onto a pair of Oakley "Tombstone Spoil" shooting glasses. What drew my attention was the lens recommendation in the article. The lens is a rose colored (Prizm 45) and it works amazingly at bringing field-of-view clarity. What I like mostly is the frameless lens especially along the top where it does not obstruct my view as I shoot mostly prone and my view takes up the upper half of the lenses. But foremost, the clarity is amazing. It seems to help when viewing through the riflescope as it reduces the high illumination of the target especially in bright sunlight. At least for me, I prefer it. Unfortunately these do not do anything for mirage reduction, and what really does?, however detail is enhanced, at least judged by MY ocular perspective.

They are not inexpensive by any means but I found mine at a pretty good deal.
