Wow, that is cheap! I have never used one, but I have a friend who is a huge Athlon fan. In fact, he is the one who got Athlon to sell that scope. (not kidding about that) I have looked through the one he has, and I thought it looked pretty good for the price. But for what Midway is selling them for you can't go too wrong. That is even less than a Mueller, which is supposed to be the king of the low buck target scopes.

If they get more instock buy it as a second or third scope.
I bought one for $299 and that was the cheapest I've seen.
Turrets aren't as crisp as others but the glass is good, but then again not
as good as GE, SIII and in that price range, but for $200+ range, can't be beat.
Bought mine to go on my custom 22lr perfect for that.

I have two Athlon Ares ETR 4.5x30's and they are great scopes. Nice turrets, crisp glass with good color and contrast.

Might check with Camera Land, they sell a lot of Athlon scopes.

One of my friends has one and it likes it except that when he fires it goes out of focus. It's on a 6.5 Creed.

I've been happy with that sightmark on a 223 at 600y; glass is decent, and it's a fine cross hair So i can see the target.

I'd give Athlon a try too at that price.
