Gonna have to shoot new bullets in a match without testing. Need advice 6mm hybr

I was all set to check em out this weekend but I got sick. This is a 6Dasher .236 bore with a chamber originally setup for the VLD's. The old load was Bib 108's 33.7 Varget jammed .010. From what I'm hearing a lot of folks are jumping the hybrids a little. I was thinking I could go and use the same load but jump em.010 or .015 and that would keep the pressure down. Match is Sunday and I wont be able to shoot till then. ANy opinions, thoughts or advice would be welcome.
TIA
Larry

A lot of us have found the hybrids like a ten to fifteen thou jump. Also a .4-.5 increase in powder charge since the hybrids have less bearing surface and being off the lands less pressure.
Take the above with a grain of salt, your mileage may vary.

Several people recently stated that the new hybrids needed half-a-tenth more powder which would make sense going from a usual Berger jam to a jump plus probably a little less bearing surface on the hybrids but your in a tough spot and were going by hearsay.
Maybe you could load half of each and still have enough to choose the best shooting group on match day..... or possibly just load them all long and test the jam then re-seat deeper if you have to go to the jump. That's what some fellows do that prefer to load home but tweak at the range by just bringing the arbor press.

The hybrids I shoot, .30 185's, like the .010 jump. They shot well enough at that jump, I haven't tried any other seating depth.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll stay a little low. Don't want to risk my pockets. I just want to shoot and missed out the last 2 months and I'm determined to go.

In my Dasher I found the tightest groups at .010" into the lands though a .005" jump also shot well. (heck, they were good at all seating lengths)
32.80gr of RL15 went 3,034fps.
Haven't shot the VLDs out of it so I can't speak to issues of comparison.

OK I loaded up Sat. night didn't get to get started till late so I didn't get to do some of the steps I normally do.

I also didn't get a chance to sort any bullets. I set the die to give .005 jam from where I determined land contact. Loaded em all up with the charge that the Bibs preferred. Then I checked a few for seating depth. They were all over the place I had about .005 variance. This tells me that the bullets need to be sorted. I use Bob Greens tool just to let you know. This is not a sorting how or why thread and I will not discuss it here my views are posted about that on other threads.

Normally in this situation I would go through all of them , measure and put them in groups to be shot together. But it was already pushing midnight and I needed to get an early start and didn't have high expectations anyway I just wanted to go shoot. Also I have runout issues that only new cases will solve.

Wind was switchy 12 to 3 oclock mostly 5-10 mph some gusts maybe 15. Manageable and not bad for Bridgeville.
There were a LOT of 4 and 1 groups. Will explain some of that as I post results.
The results: Light and heavy are the same gun.
HEAVY
102 Larry Morrison -H
Target 1: 2.4735" 44 Four shots went 1.2" In a vertical line. the flyer popped left maybe a let-up.
Target 2: 1.971" 49 1x Four shots went 1.1" straight horizontal the flyer fell straight out the bottom. Seating depth?
This was a Best ever For this barrel have had quite a few groups at a flat 2.0. Round count is 1453.
Target 3: 4.3100" 47 2x Three nice 10's 2x 1" , one flyer straight down middle of the 9 ring and another 1 oclock 8 ring.
Target 4: 2.7830" 48 No trends on this one just a plain shotgun pattern.
AGG 2.8844" 188

This was good for fourth in group and third in score.

Light Gun

Target 1: 2.6655 48 1x One flyer was high in the 9ring but the other 4 went 1.6" but were not for sure tight enough to name the high one Bad.
Target 2: 3.9865 48 1x Four nice 10's and a definite flyer straight up high in the 8 ring. Seating depth maybe inconsistent shoulder pressure?
Target 3: 2.1945 40 One high one accounted for 30% of the group size but it was a vertical so I can't call it a for sure flyer. Way out in left.
Target 4: 3.3010 41 Another shotgun pattern high out in left field. For the last 2 targets something changed that I failed to identify.
AGG: 3.0369 177
7th in group ,13 in score

Overall I am very pleased. They show great potential in my rifle. Once there sorted by ogive profile, tested with different charge weights and powders then tuned with a chrono. and seating depth I fully expect great things.
